Mini Spackman Reunion

     Back in February we went to the Bahamas with Jason's family but we still wanted to get together again this weekend for a mini reunion in Preston. We even got to eat at our favorite places, In and Out Burger and Big J's...Yum! During this weekend was the famous Preston rodeo and parade. Friday we went to the sidewalk sales. Aubrie and JJ got their faces painted there.

Then everyone finally got to Preston and we ate and then went to the parade. We all had fun and the kids got to get a bunch of candy!

Jason's dad works for IFA and this was the truck they put in.

After the parade we went to a cabin in Thacher about a half hour north. We had a western themed night. First we celebrated Jesse, Sadie and Liam's birthday with a horseshoe cake. Then we had a belt buckle contest to see who could make the best buckle and Jason won! For his prize he got Starburst! Everyone dressed up in their best western gear and we learned line dancing and had a fun time.

Then on Saturday we went to Lava Hot Springs for the day and had a lot of fun playing in the pool and going down the slides. After we got back that night and had dinner we had a talent show. It was fun with skits, singing, art, dance and poetry. Then Marie did our silly Spackman awards. Each year she comes up with a special award for each member of the family.
